Recipe for MYPA (Malt Yeast Peptone Agar) for 1000ml:

  • 20 grams Agar Agar
  • 20 grams Light Malt Extract
  • 1 gram Peptone
  • 1 gram Yeast

Adjust these ratios based on your specific water needs.

We recommend using:

  • WA (Water Agar) for cloning mushroom tissue.
  • MEA (Malt Agar) for spore germination.
  • MYA (Malt Yeast Agar) for expanding plates to use for grain spawn or liquid culture, and to isolate strains.
  • MYPA (Malt Yeast Peptone Agar) as a more efficient and comprehensive formula for long-term culture storage, exceeding 1 year.
