Expand Your Liquid Culture with Our Supercharged Mix: Peptone, Dextrose, and Light Malt Extract (DLME)
Our Supercharged Mix features Corn Dextrose, Light Malt Extract, and Peptone. This formula is superior to using just Honey, Karo, or Glucose Syrup, promoting exceptionally thick mycelium growth. We incorporate lab-grade Premium Bacteriological Peptone to ensure quality.

Water Ratios:
- For every 10gm of Supercharged Peptone DLME, add 500ml of water.
- 100gm can produce up to 5 Liters of Liquid Cultures.
- 250gm can produce up to 12.5 Liters of Liquid Cultures.
- Note: A bit of sedimentation is normal and will dissipate as the mycelium consumes the sugar.
Instructions for Use:
- Sterilization: Sterilize the mix by autoclaving at 15psi for 45 minutes or by boiling in a microwave 3-5 times. Place a marble or stirrer in the jar before sterilization.
- Cooling: Allow the sterilized liquid culture medium to cool to room temperature.
- Inoculation: Inoculate the jar with a clean culture and store in a dark space for 1-2 weeks to allow full colonization. This should be done carefully in front of a laminar flow hood or in a still air box.
- Stirring: Use a magnetic stirrer for 5 minutes or manually swirl with a marble 5-10 times daily to break up the mycelium and stimulate growth.
Caution: Ensure thorough sterilization to prevent contamination due to the high nutrient content of the mix. Sedimentation after sterilization is normal.
Use: Our Liquid Culture Mix with Peptone DLME-Supercharge is versatile for various cultivation techniques. Once your LC mix is ready, you may inject it into sterilized grain jars/bags, agar Petri dishes, or another jar of LC mix to expand your culture. For aggressive strains like Oysters and Reishi, it can also be used to directly colonize substrates.
